TRIMBLE IS ROVER

The ultimate integrated surveying setup is the Trimble IS (integrated surveying) Rover.

The Trimble IS Rover includes a Trimble Receiver, such as the Trimble R8 GNSS, placed on the rover pole of a robotic total station, for example, the Trimble S6. The Trimble IS Rover looks
like a typical GNSS Rover with the addition of a prism, and the controller includes a modular
2.4-GHz radio and antenna for communicating with the total station.

Customers who already own components of the Trimble IS Rover can take advantage of this system immediately without purchasing additional equipment. It is a unique patented Trimble system that offers surveyors enormous advantages in the field including increased flexibility, efficiency and time-savings. Surveyors who use optical and GNSS technologies in the field do
not loose productivity while switching between systems. Both system are ready to go at anytime and controlled by a simple menu in the Trimble Survey Controller Field Software.

For example, when the total station line-of-sight is obstructed, a surveyor employing Trimble IS Rover can quickly change to GNSS to measure the needed points instead of establishing a new instrument point and moving the total station. In addition, measuring points with GNSS and optical technology provided for efficient point checking.

The Trimble IS Rover lets you do this in a single occupation of a point. If the survey needs to be completed more quickly the technologies can easily be separated and operate independently. Trimble Software will easily combine the acquired data into one homogenous data set.

Let Trimble IS Rover Clear the way for your unlimited surveying freedom and can also be integrated with the new Trimble VX Spatial Station.
